As the Microship grows more and
more complete, we are publishing the technical details in three
separate forms....
- Status Report postings to the
nomadness listserv, capturing ongoing developments with reasonable
timeliness and accuracy but definitely not to be taken as final
documents. Many times, we've found the confident pronouncements of one
issue to be absolutely wrong a few months later... but still, if you
want to stay current with the project, you can subscribe
here.
- Hardcopy technical monographs
and articles. A few exist already; we crank 'em out when we feel
motivated. But the big one is the forthcoming Inside Microship
book, far and away the most ambitious publishing project of my life.
Don't send money yet... this will remain vaporware for quite a while,
but will ultimately contain the full system design from hydraulics and
structure to software and networking, along with schematics, mechanical
drawings, component sources, listings, and more. Availability will be
announced here and on the nomadness mailing list.
- Browsable documents right
here, beginning with a system architecture image map in which all
objects are clickable to reveal explanation and other details. If you
want to see what this crazy technomadic substrate is all about, you've
come to the right place... and over time, we'll drop in other system
details as they become available.
