When I began the project of collecting literature from the IDUniverse, I began by negotiating with a rogue monk in a back corner of the Pit of Perdition for the three-volume set from Anakim the Abominable. I was excited when I got home, opening the box on a soft surface with cloth gloves, but it was unreadable… just thousands of pages of growling and roaring, along with poor-quality drawings of dead people.

This was disappointing, given what it cost, but it launched my career as a sort of cultural anthropologist and IDU storyteller. Things were about to get very interesting.
