My father was Edward H. Roberts, and his dad was Chester Roberts… seated in the front of this quad cycle…

This “quad” of long ago careened madly at yesterday’s reunion of the Veteran Wheelmen’s Association at the William Penn Inn at Gwynedd, propelled by (from left to right) Chester A. Roberts, of Swarthmore, former captain of the Pennsylvania Bicycle Club; Samuel Young, South End Wheelmen; Edward A. McDuffee, of Monmouth Beach, NJ, who once held world’s records at every distance for the bicycle; and D. P. Williams, who represented yesterday the New Haven, Hartford, and Boston veteran wheelmen.
